The elite local programs (in all sports) expect to win league; the success of the season is almost always based upon how far in the playoffs they advance. In
this category I would put programs like Palma football, Notre Dame softball, Watsonville soccer, and yes Carmel baseball. For these type of programs winning
league is an afterthought. Success is measured on bringing home the blue CCS trophy; red at the worst.

Well totalbaseball...if you are a Carmel alum then you would understand that it is standard to win a league title. With the exception of last year we had won
league about 12-14 times in a row? Someone correct me if my math is wrong. How is winning a league title more important than winning a section title? That
logic doesn't make a whole lot of sense to me. If you are going to make the playoffs...you play to win, you shouldn't just be happy to make it.

Erlin was outstanding, yet MV was able to pull one out of their butts.

That game really showed that baseball is trurly a team sport

league should be the goal and if you do well in CCS, then great. It is not going to be the most important experience in these young men's lives. If Carmel
