The date and times have been set for the 5th Annual 2009 Senior Prep "Hoops By the Bay All-Star Game" for all eligible senior boys and girls basketball players. This year the game is set for Saturday, April 12, 2009 at Seaside High School. The format for this year are listed below:
TIME SENIOR GIRLS ALL-STAR GAME
1:30 pm Tri-County Athletic League (TCAL) vs. Mission Trail Athletic League (MTAL)
3:00 pm Monterey Bay Athletic League (MBAL) vs. Santa Cruz Athletic League (SCCAL)
ALL-STAR FESTIVITIES
4:30 pm - Girls' 3-Point Contest (Limit 10 Players) Boys' 3-Point Contest (Limit 10 Players)
5:00 pm - Boys' Slam Dunk Contest (Limit 10 Players)
SENIOR BOYS' ALL-STAR GAME
5:45 pm Tri-County Athletic League (TCAL) vs. Mission Trail Athletic League (MTAL)
7:15 pm Monterey Bay Athletic League (MBAL) vs. Santa Cruz Athletic League (SCCAL)
Coaches will be selected immediately after their respective All-League meeting.
Players will be selected by 1) All-League selection and 2) Recommendation by their coaches
Players must be graduating seniors for the Class of 2009. Players not affiliated with any of the four leagues (MBAL, MTAL,
SCCAL & TCAL) and are within the Santa Cruz County, San Benito County and the Monterey County boundaries may petition to play with the closes league to their school. You may call (831) 424-4002 to be included on the roster. Each roster will be limited to no more than 15 players. All participating players will be given a free souvenair All-Star players.
First team listed are visitors (wear white) and second team listed are home (wear dark).
All players will be ask to wear their high school jersey in order play in this event.
Cost for the event is $5.00 Adults, Students w/o ASB Card $3.00 Students w/ASB Card $2.00 All-Others $1.00
with children under 10 FREE

Senior Prep All-Stars "Hoops By the Bay" Coaches Announced

The 5th Annual Senior Prep All-Stars "Hoops By the Bay" scheduled for Saturday, April 18, 2009 at Seaside High School as been announced. Although we would like the coaches from the championship teams to head their respective Senior All-Star league teams most are usually either "burned-out" or have "honey-dos" after a long basketball season. The Senior All-Star game put on by Hot Streak Sports and the Seaside HS Booster Club is mostly to showcase our top seniors from all four leagues representing our local counties. So here are the coaches that have been picked by their league or coaches that are willing to volunteer their time to help us put on the event in front of our surrounding communities of fans, parents and student body:

3:00 pm - Monterey Bay Athletic League vs Santa Cruz Athletic League
4:30 pm - Girls' & Boys 3-Point Contest (Limit to 8 player per team) - Individual Trophy to Winner

5:45 pm - Tri-County Athletic League vs Mission Trail Athletic League
7:15 pm - Monterey Bay Athletic League vs Santa Cruz Athletic League

First team listed is the visiting team - please have players wear their "dark" high school jersey.
Second team listed is the home team - please have players wear their "white" high school jersey.
College rules will be in effect - 20 minutes halves and 10 minute halftime.

The 5th Annual Senior Prep All-Star Game "Hoops By the Bay" scheduled for Saturday, April 18, 2009 at Seaside High School has finally found a head coach to head the Santa Cruz Coast Athletic League Boys' All-Star team that will play the Mission Trail Athletic League All-Stars for 5:45 pm. The head coach will be San Lorenzo Valley varsity boys' head coach Matt Meisner. Thanks to Coach Meisner the
SCCAL will be holding two practices on the 8th and 15th of April 2009. The location and time will be announced by Coach Meisner. Any SCCAL senior basketball player interested in playing please email
matt.meisner@mounthermon.org or call (831) 424-4002 to sign-up. All participants will receive a free souvenair All-Star t-shirt.
