That's great news for Daniel.
Tyndall will definitely help the line play for the Lobos who have the priviledge of blocking for two solid backs in Hesse and Russo (Salinas) who picked up an extra year on a medical redshirt. The line will also have the added challenge of protecting a new, untested QB. Connors from PG was out for Spring Ball, but not sure who the other candidates may be. Connors took two Breaker teams to the CCS Finals. I also heard another PG kid, Boyer, might be returning from Montana for one semester to kick and punt at MPC. He was a solid H.S. kicker and will add consistency to special teams after Pinto moved on to Cal Poly SLO. Williams will be a great addition from a speed factor. Haynes moved on, so maybe Williams can try his "hands" at receiver. Should be another interesting year fro the Lobos. |

who's going to hartnel? they are going to need some guys from the salinas area schools to play there. I hope they can get some ballplayers because I heard
jared Sloan and bret chernetsky is going to mpc. mpc is going to have a tough team next year. I wouldn't be surprised if they go undefeated again.

Some notable incoming freshmen practicing with MPC
-Ikani Manoa OL/DL, Monterey '09 -Markeen Williams RB, Monterey '09 -Jared Sloan DB, Salinas '09 -Bill Tyndall OL, Pacific Grove '09 -Colin Boyer K/P, Pacific Grove '07 -Bret Chernetsky WR, Palma '09 -David Alejo LB/S, Alisal '08 -Jason Taylor DB, Alisal '07 -Jesse Suarez-Lopez DB, Alisal '08 I don't exactly know the names of the other Palma players but I was surprised to see them. There's also about 3 or 4 Gonzales kids making the trip out to Monterey for practice. At QB they have a pretty good battle going between Connors from PG, Richie Havens from Monterey, one transfer from Yuba and one transfer from Butte. The offensive line should be good and they have good size too. Replacing all 11 starters on the defense is not gonna be an easy task but from the looks of the practices thus far, the defense might be a strong point again for the Lobos.

ill go out on a limb and guess that MPC wins 7+ games, because they havent won fewer than 7 games since 2003. after a rough start (2-18
 ) Rassmussen has really turned things around at MPC.
